Mid-speed WEDM machine is one of the WEDM machine tools. Its working principle is to use the continuously moving molybdenum wire as the electrode to remove metal and cut the workpiece by pulse spark discharge. However, in the processing, may present the abnormal broken wire condition, forming the cause of the broken wire in the mid-speed WEDM machine.
Internal cause of wire breaking in mid-speed WEDM machine
1. The conductive block has grooves worn out. It is necessary to change the orientation of the conductive block and prevent the formation of the conductive block.
2. The accuracy of the mid-speed WEDM machine decreases. The wire conveying mechanism of the mid-speed WEDM machine is mainly composed of a wire storage cylinder, a wire rack and a guide wheel, resulting in loose wire, which will cause the molybdenum wire to break out from the guide pulley groove.
3. The proportion of cutting fluid is not suitable. If the flushing liquid is too small, the discharge condition will be deteriorated and it can not be effectively flushed into the cutting seam.
4. The precision of guide wheel is abnormal. When the precision of guide wheel decreases, molybdenum wire is easy to be broken.
To reduce the disturbance of suppression or power supply line L. in some cases of lack of power or frequency instability, voltage impulse, undervoltage, frequency and phase drift, waveform distortion, common mode noise and normal mode noise will affect the normal operation of the system, and such disturbance should be reduced as much as possible
External causes of wire breakage in mid-speed WEDM machine
1. Whether the quality of molybdenum wire is qualified, the molybdenum wire with uneven thickness and poor raw material is easy to break.
2. The surface oxidation of the workpiece data or the existence of impurities inside lead to non-conductive. It is necessary to check the processing data before processing and remove the non-conductive impurities of the data.
3. Whether the workpiece is deformed or not, sometimes the molybdenum wire will be broken when the product is being processed. In the process, the threading hole should be pre processed and the stress should be released by pre cutting to optimize the cutting path.
4. The workpiece with mid-speed WEDM machine is not clamped in place. Assuming that the workpiece clamping is not in place in the processing, it is likely to occur displacement and form broken wire. Therefore, in the process of clamping, the workpiece must be fixed.
5. Whether the molybdenum wire device of the mid-speed WEDM machine is suitable for tightness. If the molybdenum wire device is too loose, the molybdenum wire will vibrate violently, which will not only form broken wire, but also directly affect the surface roughness of the workpiece.
