If the rigidity is allowed, a larger cutting depth is adopted for rough machining to reduce the number of tool runs and improve the productivity of the workpiece; while a smaller cutting depth is generally adopted for finish machining to obtain higher surface quality. In addition to the reasons of the CNC lathe itself, the factors that affect the final machining accuracy and efficiency of the workpiece should also be comprehensively considered from the following aspects: reasonable machining route setting, tool selection and correct installation, reasonable selection of cutting quantity, programming skills and rapid control of dimensional accuracy.
1、 Programming skills
NC programming is the most basic work of NC machining. The quality of workpiece machining programming directly affects the final machining accuracy and efficiency of lathe. We can start with the ingenious use of the inherent program, the reduction of the accumulated error of the numerical control system, and the flexible use of the main program and subroutine.
2、 Adjust the process system
(1) The trial cutting method is adjusted by trial cutting - measuring the size - adjusting the tool feed - cutting along the tool - cutting again and again until the required size is reached. This method has low production efficiency and is mainly used for single piece and small batch production.
(2) In the adjustment method, the relative positions of lathe, fixture, workpiece and cutter are adjusted in advance to obtain the required dimensions. This method has high productivity and is mainly used for mass production.
