CNC milling machines can be divided into the following four categories:
1. CNC milling machine with lifting table. According to the spindle layout, it can be divided into vertical and horizontal, and its worktable can be remotely and rapidly moved along the longitudinal, transverse and vertical directions. It is widely used with high productivity and is suitable for the processing of small and medium-sized parts.
2. CNC milling machine without lifting table. The worktable of this kind of CNC milling machine only has the feed movement and rapid movement in the longitudinal and transverse directions. The spindle is arranged vertically and can feed or adjust to move along the axial direction. This kind of machine tool has good rigidity and is suitable for machining the plane and groove of medium-sized parts.
3. Tool CNC milling machine. In addition to the horizontal CNC milling machine and vertical CNC milling machine processing, and equipped with a variety of accessories, improve the universal type of the machine tool, mainly used in the tool workshop, machine repair workshop to process various cutting tools, tools, fixtures and molds with complex shapes.
4. Gantry CNC milling machine. It is a large-scale universal CNC milling machine, which is used to process plane and groove on large and medium-sized parts. Several milling heads can be installed on the part of the machine tool to process multiple surfaces of the workpiece at the same time, so as to improve the production efficiency of the machine tool.
